Gazprom Space Systems
Gazprom Space Systems (GSS) is a Russian non-governmental satellite operator. GSS operates four Yamal satellites and advanced ground telecommunications infrastructure. On the African market GSS delivers capacity of Yamal-402 and Yamal-202 satellites. Yamal-402 55E provides Ku-band coverage over Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Europe and Russia. Satellite antennas form 4 fixed beams and one steerable. Yamal-202 49E С-band has good coverage over the North Africa. Soon it will be replaced by Yamal-601, being now under construction at Thales Alenia Space. GSS’s customer base includes over 250 companies. Yamal satellites capacity is used for services provision in more than 100 countries worldwide.
