Nic is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Liquid Intelligent Technologies. He became the Company’s CEO in 2004, when the Company was rebranded from Econet Satellite Services to Liquid Telecom, and subsequently to Liquid Intelligent Technologies. He has played a lead role in the creation of our pan-African network, which now stretches over 100,000km.
He is a well-recognized entrepreneur and legal expert within the industry. He played a key role in the internationally recognized landmark constitutional cases resulting in the ending of the monopoly over fixed and mobile line telecommunication services in Zimbabwe. Nic is an advocate of recognizing access to telecoms as a human right and promoting open access to the internet across Africa.
Nic holds a law degree (LLB) from the University of Cape Town as well as a Master of Laws in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from the University of Strathclyde.
