International Trade Centre - She Trades

Profile

A flagship initiative of the International Trade Centre (ITC), SheTrades provides women entrepreneurs around the world with a platform to build their capacity and connect to international markets. Working across the business ecosystem, from policy and data through to helping women owned companies meet international buyers; the SheTrades Initiative aims to connect three million women entrepreneurs to market by 2021.

SheTrades is currently implementing a project funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), with the objective of increasing sales and job creation for women owned businesses in selected Commonwealth countries. It is currently supporting attendance at international trade fairs and providing focused training and mentoring in order to provide the skills and opportunities for women owned businesses for regional and international trade.

At Africa Com 2019 SheTrades is supporting 13 women-owned IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) businesses from Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria to showcase their product and service offerings.
