The Kolisi Foundation

Profile

Founded by Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and his philanthropist wife Rachel, the Kolisi Foundation has a vision to change the narrative of inequality for people in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in South Africa. By “remembering the one, one by one” we will impact the nation.

With the arrival and spread of COVID-19 in South Africa, the need among disadvantaged communities has intensified. As a result, the Kolisis fast-tracked the launch of the Kolisi Foundation to be able to use it as a platform to help the country during the pandemic.

The Kolisi Foundation is committed to helping people in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in South Africa. As part of its COVID-19 response, the Foundation has provided sustainable food relief to families across the country, focusing specifically on child-headed households, orphans, and the vulnerable.

The Kolisi Foundation carries out a variety of projects, including food security, education and youth development, sports development, and programmes against gender-based violence.
