Hongseok Shin is a senior manager of Network R&D Center at SK Telecom, the number one mobile operator in Korea. With more than 20 years of experience in R&D of wireline and wireless broadband network, he is responsible for developing various optical access network solution for SK Telecom/SK Broadband including Mobile Fronthaul system and Next Generation PON. Prior to this position, Shin was responsible for developing Optical Amplifier and Transport network system at Samsung Electronics(1998-2000 and 2003-2011) and at Tyco SubCom(2001-2002). He holds Ph.D. degree from Korea University and Master’s degree from Cornell University.
