Profile

Paulo J. C. Mão-Cheia holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Aveiro University.

In 1991 joined the Optical Communications Group of the R&D Labs of Portuguese incumbent operator. Since then has worked in Research and Development activities on Optical Communications and is presently responsible by the unit xPON systems and Home Networking.

During his professional activity has worked in areas such as digital transport networks, HFC networks, and lately on xPON networks. The area of application includes Triple Play services for Residential, Mobile Backhaul, and Business.

He is the delegate of Altice Labs in FSAN/ITU standard related activities.
