Sal is a telecommunications executive with over 25 years experience in leadership positions working across global markets. After spending the first 3 years of his career as a telco software engineer, Sal moved to the commercial department in OTE/Marconi managing European customers, before moving to Beijing, where he headed China & Far East region for 3 years. Since then, Sal has always held customer and market facing responsibilities, at a regional or global level. His past roles include, among others, VP & Global Head of Sales and Business Development (Tata Communications), multiple VP Sales positions in Middle East and Africa, India, Eastern Europe & Central Asia (Nokia). He also has been General Manager for Etisalat Group, Vodafone Europe and Telecom Italia (Nokia), as well as for the Emerging Markets in Asia Pacific (Nokia). Sal has lived in Europe, as well as India, Singapore, China, Istanbul and Dubai which has provided him with a diverse cultural understanding. He holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Università degli Studi di Firenze.
