Profile
Ian started his career in the IT department at Yorkshire Television more than 15 years ago. Working initially in IT support and then across a broad array of IT and Broadcast projects before moving into his first senior role responsible for service management as ITV Head of Transmission.
Ian is now responsible for managing ITV’s broadcast distribution supply chain, from scheduling through to distribution, working with a number of key partners such as Arqiva, BT, Deluxe, Ericsson and Globecast.
He leads a number of Operations teams who ensure that ITV transmits successfully on all platforms carrying ITV channels globally, working closely with their broadcast partners to ensure the best possible service and with an emphasis on continuous improvement and business excellence.
In 2012 Ian completed an Executive MBA at Leeds University Business School graduating with a Distinction and he previously graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Information Technology at Sheffield Hallam University, which included a year at BT Adastral Park laboratories researching early Video on Demand technology and networks.
Ian splits his working week between London and Leeds, spending his weekends mucking out horses, building Lego constructions or on the golf course with his two young sons.
