THE FUTURE OF NETWORK CONNECTIVITY IS HERE

The only event in the region to focus holistically on upgrading, future proofing and monetising networks.

With a buzzing expo of the latest network technology, two dedicated content streams answering both technical and strategic challenges, and an unrivaled pan-Asian audience, Broadband TV Connect Asia is firmly established as one of the leading events in the region.

WE'RE COMING TO BANGKOK

With so much development taking place in Thailand and the surrounding region it is the perfect location for us to host the latest addition of Broadband TV Connect Forum Asia and engage the South East Asian broadband community.

The Thai government plans to invest USD1.1BN (THB38bn) to strengthen its broadband backbone, extending access across the country and increasing data speeds by more than 400%. The country’s average broadband internet speed currently ranks 8th in Asia and 52nd in the world, with strong ambitions to climb the rankings.

This year, the Thai Ministry of Digital Economy and Society announced plans to establish two companies to boost the provision of broadband services to the nation. In addition, the state owned TOT (Telecom of Thailand) has pledged to upgrade its fixed line network to the IP standard by 2025 in an attempt to counter a drop in demand for fixed line services. The government is also expanding 4G services to boost the Thai economy, part of the ongoing digital economy plan released in February 2015.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2018

Showcasing the latest technologies, services and applications, Broadband TV Connect Asia is designed to help senior-level operators and broadcasters from across the entire Asia-Pacific region to monetise ultra-fast networks, remain competitive in the OTT market, and thrive in the future world of smart cities and IoT.

This is an industry at the point of change. Service providers and network owners are feeling pressure from changing consumer demands, rural deployment and the expectations of 5G, IoT, video on demand, while at the same time watching their margins shrink as savvy consumers demand faster speeds at lower costs.
