When will the event now take place?

Channel Partners Conference & Expo’s in-person event has been postponed to March 2-5, 2021 at the Venetian in Las Vegas. Channel Partners will not be hosting an in-person physical event in the U.S. this year due to the continuing circumstances regarding COVID-19.

Nevertheless, we believe the need for our community to connect, inform and innovate is stronger than ever, and the Informa Tech Channel Group is committed to providing you the same level of education and community that the Channel is accustomed to finding at our physical events. We are excited to announce the launch of the Virtual edition of Channel Partners Conference & Expo and Channel Partners Evolution. Join us September 8-10, 2020 for three days of top-notch content and networking at the brand-new Channel Partners Virtual: Digital Events for the Modern Channel.

Room blocks and housing reservations:

Hotel reservations within our room block are automatically being canceled. Refunds will be processed in 3-5 business days. Any specific questions around housing should go to our housing provider, Convention Housing Partners, at channelpartners@chphousing.com. To reinstate your reservation please call the Venetian Hotel directly.

How does this affect my current attendee registration?

As a registered attendee of our rescheduled September 2020 physical edition, your registration and pass type will automatically roll over to the March 2021 event in Las Vegas. Even more, you can redeem an equivalent pass type to the virtual edition this September 8-10 at no extra charge. Check your email for more information on how to redeem free pass to Channel Partners Virtual.

What does this mean for an exhibitor/sponsors?

For exhibitors and sponsors you have a few options:

A sales representative will contact you to discuss sponsorship opportunities within our virtual platforms. Channel Partners will host a webinar within the next couple of weeks to demo the interactive platform. With our determination to be as flexible as possible for exhibitors and sponsors with existing contracts, we offer multiple options:

  • Transfer all or any portion of the contracted amount to the Virtual Event taking place September 8-10, 2020
  • Transfer any portion of the contracted funds to Channel Futures or Channel Partners Media Programs, Webcasts, Lead Generation or Custom Content Creation
  • Transfer any portion of the contracted funds to Channel Evolution Europe Virtual Event on December 1-2, 2020.
  • Transfer any portion of the contracted funds to the Virtual 360 Roundtable series or CP Workshop series
  • Any remaining funds will be applied to Channel Partners Expo & Conference 2021 taking place March 2-4 at The Venetian & Sands Expo, Las Vegas. (Any non-refundable venue deposits will be rolled over to 2021 without penalty.)

For our exhibiting customers, here is what we know so far:

  • The Sands: We are working with the venue currently to understand how F&B and AV order cancellations will be handled. 
  • Lead Retrieval: There is nothing more important to Experient than taking good care of our valued exhibitors, especially during times of uncertainty. For those companies who planned to exhibit at Channel Partners and Channel Partners Evolution, Experient has amended their standard refund policy. To receive a full refund for your lead retrieval purchase on this event, please send a refund request to: answers.leadservices@experient-inc.com. Please include a copy of your receipt/confirmation or invoice number and allow 7 to 10 business days for processing by Experient. We will honor all refund requests for 90 days after the event’s original move-in date of September 5, 2020. We look forward to seeing you soon at your next show.
  • Freeman order cancellations are as follows:
    • All freight in the warehouse will be charged at 50%
    • All standard furniture orders will be refunded at 100%
    • All custom cut carpet / prestige carpet will be billed at 30%
    • All custom booths will receive a 75% discount
      • Graphics will be billed at 100%

Channel Partners Announces Virtual Edition 2020

As the world continues to adapt to the changing business reality stemming from the global coronavirus pandemic, Channel Partners has been continually reviewing the best ways to serve the Channel community. Never before have digital mediums been so critical in communicating across business channels, and we are pivoting to meet these business challenges.

While we will be returning to a physical format for Channel Partners Conference & Expo on March 2-5 of 2021 at The Venetian & Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Channel Partners will not be hosting an in-person physical event in the U.S. this year due to the continuing circumstances regarding COVID-19.

Channel Partners Virtual will deliver high-quality content, including many of the keynotes, conference tracks, networking opportunities and awards programs that were part of our original #CPExpo lineup. Moving the event to a virtual platform also offers us new capabilities and gives members of the Channel community who may not be able to travel to a live conference the opportunity to partake in the world’s largest Channel event.

Channel Partners Conference & Expo is Officially Postponed

March 6, 2020

After close consultation with our partners in the industry and as the situation has changed rapidly, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Channel Partners Conference & Expo 2020.  

With the rapidly developing circumstances and in light of corporate travel considerations continuing to escalate, we’ve worked as quickly as possible to explore our options.

Having spent the past year preparing for the event with our advisory boards, speakers, exhibitors and event partners, we’re genuinely disappointed not to be able to host you this coming week, but the experience and safety of our community and everyone involved in the event continues to be our top priority.

Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, March 9-12, 2020 is officially postponed, with the intention to announce a new date shortly. Exhibitors and attendees will be contacted with further information regarding booth contracts and registrations.

We understand there will be a lot of questions and concerns following this announcement. For attendees, we will automatically transfer your registration to the rescheduled event. For questions and concerns, please contact cpexpo@informa.com.

For exhibitors and sponsors, we will transfer your program to the future event. Your Account Manager will be reaching out personally next week to discuss your immediate questions. We continue to work diligently to ensure all details are buttoned down and we thank you for your patience.

As always, we would like to thank everyone who helps to make the event possible and recognize that our event does not happen without your support. We appreciate the open discussions and encouragement. The conversations we’ve had over the last several days have proven how lucky we all are to be part of this supportive, tight-knit industry. The Venetian & Sands Expo's Clean Commitment, Protocols & Initiatives

Our host venue, The Venetian, has issued the following statement:

The health and safety of our Team Members, our guests, and our community is our top priority. By closely monitoring industry and government guidance regarding the COVID-19 virus, including information supplied by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), we have devised additional guidelines and procedures for sanitation and cleaning, with an emphasis on the prevention of virus transmission.


To ensure the health and safety of our guests, we have implemented several new initiatives throughout our resort, including the following:

Thermal Cameras

Thermal cameras are in use at every resort entry point, allowing discreet and non-invasive temperature checks on all Team Members and guests.

Hand Sanitizer

Hundreds of hand sanitizing stations are readily available in high traffic areas throughout the resort, Congress Center, and Sands Expo Convention Center.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Guests are currently welcome to wear personal face masks and gloves while visiting the resort.

Emergency Medical Technicians.

The Venetian Resort has a team of approximately 25 certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), available 24 hours a day. Approximately 1/3 of this EMT staff are on site every day.

Restaurants and Bars

All restaurants and bars have reduced seating to allow for appropriate distancing between every table and chair.

Physical Distancing

Guests and Team Members are required to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from others while standing in queues, using elevators or moving around the resort.

In-room Amenities

In every suite, guests will receive a Venetian Clean “personal care” amenity kit with hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, gloves and a personal face mask.

Meeting and Convention Spaces

Meeting and banquet rooms are arranged to allow for appropriate physical distancing between guests in all meetings and events, based on CDC and state recommendations.

Heart of House

Physical distancing protocols are used in Team Member back areas.
