Profile
Alexandra is Practice Leader for IoT at Omdia. She leads Omdia's core IoT team within the Enterprise area of research and consulting, and drives the overall Ovum agenda for IoT coverage and thought leadership, across the vertical, technology, analytics/security and consumer perspectives.
Alexandra has worked with both major and start-up TMT companies to drive growth, identify and forecast market opportunities, and develop successful digital partnerships and go-to-market plans. Her recent focus areas include IoT and digital health, big data, service provider strategy, and B2B information product and growth strategies. Prior to joining Omdia in 2016, she was an Associate Partner with STL Partners, as well as consulting independently. From 2007-2014, Alexandra was part of the senior team at Analysys Mason, where as a Partner she led the firm’s Telecoms Research division. She has also held executive, strategy and consulting roles at companies including PA Consulting Group, Motorola, Asia.com, Pyramid Research and TeleGeography, as well as running an internet and telecoms consultancy in China.
Alongside of her work at Omdia, Alexandra serves as a Trustee of data-for-social-good charity DataKind UK, which supports non-profit organisations in delivering greater impact, through volunteer-led data science project engagements. She holds a
B.Sc. (Honors) in Cognitive Science from Brown University (USA) and an M.A. in International Relations (Economics, Chinese and European Studies) from Johns Hopkins University.
