We will be celebrating the most impressive developments and innovative individuals driving edge computing success!
This award will recognise the Edge Computing Ambassadors, those individuals who are instrumental in driving edge computing development and who have been particularly active over the last 12 months in ensuring the continued progression of edge computing research, development and trials.
The ‘Biggest contribution to R&D’ award is open to companies that have already committed substantial time and resources to the discovery and development of approaches to edge computing.
Considering the importance of edge computing as an enabler for 5G services and IoT, there is a need to speed up the progress of trialling and piloting edge computing.
The contribution to R&D should consider the wider potential of edge computing, and demonstrate the steps taken to facilitate the development of new services and/or revenue channels, which will help to drive progress in the market, removing barriers and helping to make the adoption of edge computing a reality.
The winner of this award will be selected on the basis of the level of time and resources committed, and the viability of the results of the R&D for helping drive faster market development.
This award will recognise the success of edge computing development programmes in operator companies, what these programmes intend to deliver for your business and your customers, what stage of trials have been reached and what the next steps for the programme are, as well as how edge computing will form a bigger part of the network in the future.
This award will recognise the success of edge computing development programmes in enterprise companies, what these programmes intend to deliver for your business and your customers, what stage of trials have been reached and what the next steps for the programme are, as well as how edge computing will form a bigger part of the network in the future.
This awards celebrates edge concepts that will bring commercial benefits to the company. Applicants are encouraged to supply use case examples and groups/ companies who are in support of the edge computing concept.
