Sérgio Pinto holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Porto and an Executive-MBA from INDEG-ISCTE, with more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, he began his professional activity in EDP, later joining the founding team of ONITELECOM, evolving through cross-functional managerial roles as Director of Engineering and Operations, leading to is latter position as the company’s CTO.

Back in EDP / E-REDES since 2014, currently holding a position as deputy director of Digital Platform Division, and vice-chair at the European Telecommunication Council (EUTC), he is actively involved in connectivity solutions for the energy transition, leveraging on E-REDES’s Fiber and IP-MPLS infrastructure, addressing the access domain through innovative Private MVNO, 4G, and 5G capabilities, pursuing “open” advanced architectures and adequate assurance practices for resilient and secure connectivity.
