Profile
Since she was young, Erin has carried around a notebook to jot down thoughts and observations about the world. After working in her first lab at fourteen, she learned to channel this curiosity into research and fell in love with the art form of scientific inquiry. She is the founder of FacePrint, a tool to detect and monitor neurodegenerative diseases using video technology and early-stage facial expression indicators. Erin’s work has been awarded at an international level, and she was named Forbes 30 under 30 in 2019. Erin is currently a student at Stanford studying computer science and neuroscience and was a Thiel Fellow before starting university. She also is an avid STEM advocate and serves as an AAAS IF/THEN Ambassador. Her goal in life is to build the future of neurological and mental healthcare. In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking, philosophy, architecture, and spending time with family and friends.
