Profile
The F Factor 19-25 National Finalist
Farah is part of The Bread Brew'd Project, an innovative social enterprise started by two students at The University of Nottingham that tackles food waste and food poverty through the power of craft beer. They tackle food waste by up-cycling fresh surplus bread to brew our beer, reducing the demand for unnecessary food production and keeping surplus food in the human food chain. They tackle food poverty by donating their profits to organisations tackling child food poverty, a problem that they believe lies at the heart of social mobility. The Bread Brew'd Projects core beer, Bakers Pale Ale, has been sold in over 74 outlets across Nottingham, including pubs, restaurants, hotels, bottle shops and supermarkets. They are continually releasing new products, incorporating a wider range of surplus food in the brewing of their beer.
