Dr. Fredrik Søreide is the Co-Director of the Mayflower Autonomous Ship Project and the Chief Scientist for Promare. He holds a PhD in marine engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Dr. Søreide is based in Norway where he is a Professor at the Department of Marine Technology at NTNU focusing on underwater technology and marine science. He has been involved in marine research and ocean exploration for the past 25 years. He is the author of 4 books and more than 150 scientific articles
