Kathryn is Founder and co-CEO of Decoded, the global digital leadership and data skills education business. To date they have taught over half a million professionals and leaders in 85+ cities across the world.
She campaigned for coding as a mandatory on the UK National Curriculum. It was successfully introduced in 2014 making the UK one of the first countries in the world to do so. She received an MBE in the Queen’s Honours in 2015 for Services to Education.
Kathryn is a non-executive director on the board of The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and sits on the advisory board for HM Treasury’s Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship. The report revealed that less than 1% of venture capital is invested in female founded businesses.
She has been on the technology and business advisory boards for two previous Prime Ministers and the former and current London Mayors.
Kathryn mentors and invests in a small number of female founded businesses, is a judge for The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year Award and a donor and Ambassador for Women Supporting Women.
She is currently campaigning for a Future Skills Fund to extend lifelong learning opportunities to everyone. She is also advocating for a standard to increase venture capital funding into female founded businesses.
