Maren is passionate about supporting ventures that make a positive impact in our ocean at the same time as building successful businesses. She is currently building Fynd Ocean Ventures. Fynd will drive the blue shift. To achieve this they will invest and actively support leading ocean ventures globally.

In 2018 she started Katapult Ocean as CEO and Co-founder. Katapult Ocean has quickly become a leading force in building the blue economy globally. She has led investments into 22 impact driven ocean startups from 14 countries. She has built a leading network of mentors, partners and investors globally. Prior to that she had international management positions with Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Orkla and McKinsey & Co working across all continents. Her focus is impact investment, strategy, business development and commercialization, and she is an active advisor, board member and investor to several startups. She is active in the advisory network to the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy. She has had key notes and contributed to global events like the, the Economist’s World Ocean Conference, Nor-Shipping, Our Ocean, The World Economic Forum to mention some. Maren has a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics and Bachelor’s Degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
