Sarah Neville is the Global Pharmaceuticals Editor for the Financial Times. She has been with the paper for almost 20 years, working in senior editing and reporting positions, including public policy editor, analysis editor and UK news editor. She began her career as a reporter on the Rochdale Observer, a bi-weekly newspaper in northern England. She moved to the Western Mail, Wales' national newspaper, where she wrote about health and the arts. She joined Pulse, a medical magazine, before moving to Westminster as political correspondent, then political editor, for the Yorkshire Post. In 1995 she spent several months on the Washington Post after winning the prestigious Laurence Stern Fellowship. Sarah has been shortlisted for a number of other awards in recent years, including the Orwell Prize, and Health Journalist of the Year, in both the Press Awards, and the British Journalism Awards.
