Profile
Rona joined the UK Power Networks Innovation team as a graduate engineer less than two years ago. Originally a chemical engineer, Rona joined the electricity industry after working as a process engineer, completing detailed design engineering for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
She has rapidly established herself and now runs a £4.5m portfolio of eight innovation projects. Her work covers a wide range of themes, from increasing the efficiency of renewable generation connections to finding innovative ways of keeping the lights on more cheaply and efficiently.
Rona has a MEng in Engineering Science from Oxford University. Outside of work, she is an active STEM Ambassador, Toastmaster and rugby player.
