Sarah O’Rourke is a Principal Scientist at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratories. She has worked with the emergency services for over a decade, both within Dstl and previously the Home Office Centre for Applied Science and Technology. She provides S&T support on existing, emerging and future technologies to support frontline operations. She is currently the technical lead for first responder technology exploitation, which focuses on new technologies such as wearable and immersive technologies.
Sarah will be talking about the Blue Light Resource Group, which brings together police, fire and emergency medical services to understand their needs and drive innovation, providing a mechanism to identify or enable development of technological solutions to existing and emerging problems.
