Calvin Collett is the founder and CEO of Melon Mobile - South Africa’s first fully digital mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). For 23 years, technology, innovation and creativity has been his driving force, with experience at Accenture, the AA and Getronics.

In 2005 he founded iConnect, helping to revolutionise telecoms through VoIP. He then took up the challenge of creating MTNs first sub-brand, a ‘fibre to the home’ business called Supersonic, taking it to number 1 ISP in its first year of relaunch. Released in 2023, Melon Mobile is set to disrupt the South African mobile industry, bringing a new level of control, flexibility and value to consumers.
