Elena Ruiz, Product Manager at Valid, is responsible for the OTA Platform and Connected Applet Suite. A Computing Engineer from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University and MBA from EAE Business School and Barcelona University. She brings over 13 years of experience in the Smart Cards and Telecom Solutions sector, forging a robust professional career at Valid, with global roles.

She started in 2010 as a Software Engineer, focusing on developing applications for smart cards (SIM/eSIM), as well as internal tools for quality and traceability systems. She quickly rose to Co-Team Leader in the Software and Personalization Department, leading a team of developers and specializing in desktop applications, libraries, and scripting for production for MNOs.

In 2019, she redirected her career from Telecommunications to Means of Payment, serving as a Payment Technical Consultant until 2021. During this time, she led projects for the banking sector and other areas such as Transportation, Security, and Identity.

In 2021, she decided to pursue her passion for technology and innovation by taking on the role of Product Manager in Software and Services, streamlining her portfolio to focus specifically on the OTA Platform and Connected Applet Suite, offering cutting-edge technological solutions and adeptly managing client needs.
