Steven Greenspan is a seasoned veteran in the cellular industry, boasting over two decades of invaluable experience. One of Greenspan's notable ventures was TaxiTalk, a pioneering company that revolutionised the commuter market by introducing affordable cellular communication.

His visionary leadership led to TaxiTalk's acquisition by Blue Label 18 years ago, where Greenspan assumed the role of CEO of Blue Label Cellular (BLC), a position he still holds today. Throughout his career, Greenspan has cultivated strong relationships with all major networks, operating across various divisions such as Wholesale, Prepaid, Hybrid, and Postpaid. His extensive knowledge and hands-on experience have been instrumental in shaping BLC into a market leader. Under Greenspan's guidance, BLC has developed bespoke systems to streamline operations across credit scoring, sales, warehouse management, customer care, and collections. Leveraging both in-house call centers and outsourced partners, BLC ensures optimal utilization of these systems to serve their diverse consumer base effectively.

Not content with mere business success, Greenspan is passionate about driving digital inclusion, particularly for lower-income demographics in South Africa. BLC's initiatives aim to provide access to affordable devices and airtime, bridging the gap created by network restrictions. As part of the BLT group, a leading service provider in South Africa, BLC maximises synergies to deliver innovative products and lifestyles to its consumers. The company's agile systems enable rapid operationalisation, making BLC a specialist in business process outsourcing (BPO).

Greenspan's influence extends beyond traditional cellular services, as he has been deeply involved in Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) and Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) ventures for the past decade. His expertise in building, wholesaling, and running MVNOs has further solidified BLC's position as an industry innovator.

Beyond the boardroom, Greenspan is characterised by his boundless energy and passion for life. A former professional athlete that competed for his country, he has conquered numerous challenges, including completing several full Ironman events.

Outside of work, his family holds his utmost devotion, while his current hobbies include motorcycle enduro and adventure riding.
