Usman Mamman is seasoned Economist and well-grounded in Telecommunication with over thirty (30) years of experience spanning Banking, Telecommunication Licensing and Human Resources Management with excellent people and management skills.
He is currently the Head, Licensing and AuthorisationDepartment of the Nigerian Communications Commission. As the Head Licensing and Authorisation Department, he oversees the articulation and monitoring of the licensing focus of the Commission; evaluates the implementation of necessary policies; is responsible for qualitative research and development on existing licenses and coordinates trend analysis on market conditions and their impact on licensing; coordinates the review of license structures, as well as the development of license frameworks; coordinates the evaluation, vetting process, and provision of all categories of licensees to applicants, as well as ensuring adherence by all licensees to their license terms and conditions
He holds a Master’s in Communication Management from Buckinghamshire University in United Kingdom, Banking & Finance from Bayero University, Kano and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Maiduguri.
