Kazi Ahmed is currently the Director of Technology responsible for orchestration, automation, and closed-Loop service assurance for Verizon’s wireline and wireless Virtual Network Functions (VNFs). In this capacity, Kazi and his team is providing Orchestration architecture and platform support as well as solution development and implementation for all of Verizon’s Network Infrastructure and customer facing Enterprise VNFs.
Prior to his current role, Kazi most recently held Director of Technology position responsible for Engineering, Operations and Virtualization of Verizon’s Wireless' IMS core platforms.
Kazi also held multiple director roles in the wireless field organization including network System Performance Director and Engineering Director positions. In his field roles, he was involved in several critical projects and rollouts such as Alltel integration, 4G deployment and AWS rollout.
Kazi joined Verizon Wireless in 2002 as RF/System Performance Manager in Nashville, TN. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech University.
