Kevin is currently a Principal Architect for Network Virtualization Technologies at CenturyLink. Kevin has over 17 years of telecommunications and service-provider experience. Kevin’s responsibilities at CenturyLink include research, analysis, design, socialization/evangelist and providing strategic vision and implementation of the SDN/NFV vision at Centurylink across all technology domains. Kevin has been involved in the ground-up prototyping/development and production deployment of the CenturyLink NFV enablement platform (PSB/Programmable Services Backbone) which includes orchestration and compute infrastructure placed in CenturyLink Data Centers to IP Core/Market Aggregation sites to Central Offices and Customer CPE devices and he led ETSI NFV Proof of Concept #4 and successfully demonstrated last-mile D-NFV virtualization use cases and proving out ETSI-MANO and other specifications with vendor hardware and software partners. Kevin holds 15+ Patents/Patents Pending related to telecommunications systems and methods for various video analytics and content packaging, IP-Ethernet network device management and network steering/control-management, cloud orchestration and management, and SDN and NFV platforms orchestration and intelligent data-driven network orchestration systems.
