Sanjay SrinivasanVice President and Chief Architect at Vonage
As Vice President and Chief Architect for Vonage, Sanjay Srinivasan is responsible for the Company’s sales engineering and product research. With more than 20 years of experience and expertise in the areas of data networks, voice services and hosted application services, Sanjay’s areas of expertise include network design, SD-WAN, VoIP, software architecture and development, service provider process engineering, product marketing and development, and network and service operations.
Sanjay joined Vonage upon the Company’s acquisition of Telesphere in 2015, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to Telesphere, he served in various capacities with leading telecommunications companies such as Hughes Network Systems, AT&T Wireless, Lightedge Solutions and Terabeam Corporation. At AT&T Wireless, Sanjay was one of the leading members of the team that successfully rolled out a fixed wireless residential product and integrated it successfully into AT&T's operations. With Terabeam, he was a leading member of the team responsible for launching of one of the first, native Ethernet/MPLS backbone networks in the country offering high-bandwidth metro-ethernet services to corporations. With the emergence of VoIP as a disruptive technology in the business communications sector, Sanjay was also instrumental in developing and operating to scale one of the country's leading Hosted VoIP PBX services.
Sanjay has led educational seminars on the concept of Hosted IP PBX based services in various cities across the country and has presented at conferences on the subject of VoIP. He has also been published in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
In 2015, Sanjay received the Top CTO AZ Top Tech Exec Award, an annual recognition honoring Phoenix's finest leaders in technology. He was also instrumental in efforts leading to Frost & Sullivan’s recognition of Telesphere for its 2015 CIO Impact Award in Enterprise Architecture. Sanjay holds a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia and is a member of Engineering Honor societies Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi.
