John Routledge is a designer and researcher with an interest in speculative design, human centred design and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on autonomous vehicles and mobility as a service. After an early career working as a Project Engineer for a major OEM, John undertook the Innovation Design Engineering Double Masters course at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art. Since graduating in 2016 John has worked with a number of clients on projects exploring the impacts autonomy will have on vehicle design and the impacts autonomous vehicles will have on services, infrastructure and the built environment.
