Lola is a city strategist with 13 years of experience in the UK, Europe, US and Africa, in the fields of economic geography, spatial development, urban planning, urban design and architecture.
Her work lies at the intersection between the built environment and digital infrastructure/new technologies having a strong urban innovation and sustainable development component.
Lola spearheads cutting-edge urban innovation projects. These explore the potential of digital and new technologies to optimise the use of resources, to improve the sustainability and resilience of the built environment and its communities, and to lead the transition to a low-carbon future and the green economy.
She is also involved in several European Commission projects, she is active in EU city networks and international Urban Innovation forums and congresses
Lola previously worked in international architectural and urban planning practices such as Foster+Partners, Rogers Stirk Harbour +Partners (RSHP), and Foreign Office Architects. She led design teams and worked on international projects including the redevelopment of Brimingham New St Station in the UK and the development of a set of policy and design guidance for “Le Grand Paris”, commissioned by former French President, N. Sarkozy.
