Head of Land Transport at Innovate UK

Paul is the Head of Land Transport at Innovate UK, part of UK research and Innovation. He and his team deliver funding and support to businesses working on innovation in rail, connected transport, low emission vehicles and connected and autonomous vehicle.

The team works directly with Government teams as well as the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

In 2018/19, the team delivered £220m of R&D support to help UK companies take advantage of emerging opportunities, helping turn technology and business model concepts into successful product and service innovation that boosts the UK economy.

Prior to joining Innovate UK in 2014 Paul worked at Horiba-MIRA and post university worked at Caterpillar for seven years.
