Profile

Antoine Mallard is a successful Venture Capitalist, Hedge Fund Manager and Investment Banker. He recently relocated to France (before Brexit) where he is working on the launch of an early-stage/growth fund. He also advises innovative companies, often as a Non-Executive Director, about their growth strategies (internal, external and fundraising). He also teaches PE/VC and M&A at a number of well-known business schools.

Antoine Mallard is the Founder of D’Alembert Capital, an event-driven fund that capitalized on little-known market inefficiencies and incorporated elements from game theory and behavioral finance.

Before founding D’Alembert Capital, Antoine was managing Concordia Advisors’ Event-Driven Fund, in which MAN Group invested.

Before that, Antoine was Head of Research at Systeia Capital Management (then the largest Paris-based multi-strategy hedge fund and a subsidiary of Amundi).

Prior to that, Antoine was a Senior Associate in the European offices of Apax Partners as a member of the global Technology and Telecom Groups. He executed a number of transactions and sat on the board of portfolio companies advising them on various operational and corporate finance issues.

Prior to that, Antoine was an Analyst in the M&A Group at Credit Suisse in New York advising on a number of domestic and transatlantic transactions in a variety of sectors. He was then appointed as the only analyst in the newly-formed New York Technology M&A Group, headed by Frank Quattrone.

Antoine graduated from the Ecole des Ponts (a leading French Grande Ecole and a member of the Paris School of Economics and Paris Tech) with a dual major in Quantitative Finance and Economics as well as an MBA.
