Christopher Haley is Head of New Technology & Startup Research at Nesta, the UK innovation foundation. He leads Nesta's research into startups and startup support, with the aim of improving the policy environment for entrepreneurs and helping new technologies drive economic growth.

Prior to Nesta, Chris worked in technology transfer and early stage venture capital. Until recently, he was part of the Secretariat of the European Digital Forum, director of the European Digital City Index project, and co-chaired Tech London Advocates Corporate Entrepreneurship group. He is a ‘Startup Europe’ Ambassador, and has advisory roles with the Scaleup Institute and IPO.
