Professor Neil Sebire is a clinical academic Paediatric Pathologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) and the institute of Child Health, UCL, London, and the GOSH Chief Research Information Officer (CRIO). He is an NIHR GOSH Biomedical Research Centre theme lead and has held numerous Regional and National strategic and academic roles, including within RCOG, RCPath, CCLG and BRIPPA. His main current research interests include placental pathology, paediatric surgical pathology contributions to novel therapies, and research involving novel investigations into causes of stillbirth and sudden unexpected death in infancy. He is passionate about adopting new technologies into clinical practice and leads the new GOSH Digital Research, Informatics and Virtual Environment (DRIVE) unit, dedicated to evaluating new technologies for healthcare. He is Director of the new GOSH Paediatric Informatics Research Programme and is a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics. He has published >1,000 scientific articles including several textbooks, with >25,000 citations to published works (H-index 77, i10-index 380). Neil is an NIHR Senior Investigator.
