Profile
John Williams is currently Vice President of Engineering & Architecture for Charter Communications. He leads engineering teams responsible for providing solutions and services for our Commercial Enterprise business. He also leads the teams responsible for all aspects related to the outside plant, including HFC Networks, FTTx, and the customer premise.
He has held leadership roles in technical operations, engineering operations and network management in various capacities throughout his long tenured career.
He has been a member of Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers since 1997. He was inducted into the “Cable TV Pioneers” class of 2020. He is also the primary code making representative for the National Electrical Code (NEC) representing SCTE and the Cable Industry.
