Masterclass Agenda
9.30am – 12.00pm: Ultra HD – The State of the Art
This workshop will cover the technology and context of use for the range of technologies under the umbrella of Ultra HD, or UHD. This will cover the technologies from the Ultra HD Forum's Phase A and Phase B including the five key pillars of UHD - Resolution, High Dynamic Range, Wide Colour Gamut, High Frame Rate and Next Generation Audio. The workshop will also set the context of how these technologies have and will develop the consumer entertainment experience in the coming years.

1.30pm – 4.30pm: Effective Content Protection
This workshop will cover the technology involved in audio-visual content protection. It will also look at both historic and present-day piracy problems and how these have been addressed. Finally, as the internet of things becomes more and more prevalent, and IoT devices enter the home, it will look at how the lessons learned from pay TV can be applied in this realm.
