5G SatCom Solutions Architect at European Space Agency

Maria Guta is Senior 5G SatCom Solutions Architect in the Future Projects and Applications Division of the Telecom Technologies, Products and Systems Department Directorate of Telecommunications & Integrated Applications in the European Space Agency (ESA).

Involved in the ESA initiative for 5G, prepares and implements technologies and services development activities to foster the integration of satellite and terrestrial solutions within the 5G and for various verticals. Interfaces with external stakeholders i.e. space and non-space organisations, national space agencies and EU, –DG Connect/Grow, to develop common understanding for the requirements for satellite systems and services, in view of convergence with terrestrial 5G networks.

She has more than 20 years of experience in satcom field. In her previous positions, she was with Eutelsat in the Systems Studies Division and the Space Engineering SpA in the Telecom Programmes Division.
