Michele Franci is one of the aerospace industry’s leading satellite telecommunications system experts. He has 30 years experience in all aspects of space program and satcom development and management. Michele has led the procurement of over 15 satellite programs, from inception to deployment in orbit, and managed multiple competitive satellite and launch vehicle purchase campaigns. He also led the development and deployment of the Inmarsat GX and EAN connectivity networks.

As chief of system delivery at OneWeb, Michele is responsible for the execution of the OneWeb’s end-to-end communications network development and readying for commercial service in 2021. OneWeb is creating business solutions for Broadband, Government and Cellular Backhaul. It’s high speed, low latency network will offer game-changing mobility solutions to industries that rely on global connectivity, such as Aviation, Maritime, Automotive and more.

Michele has significant experience with space and satcom network technology development companies around the world, and long-standing expertise in setting up and managing institutional programs with the European Space Agency.

Previously, Michele was a Chief Technology Officer at Inmarsat PLC in London and has also held senior leadership roles at SES and Arianespace.
