Craig Coogan serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Vice President (VP) of Product & Strategy for Aurora Networks, a business of Vistance Networks. In this role, Craig leads a global team dedicated to defining, architecting, and delivering cutting-edge cable (DOCSIS) and fiber (PON) access network hardware and solutions. His focus spans a broad portfolio of Data Core products, including Converged Cable Access Platforms (CCAPs), Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTSs), Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) modules, virtual CCAP/CMTS (vCCAP/vCMTS), and virtual Broadband Network Gateways (vBNGs)—the foundational technologies powering hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) and PON broadband access networks. Craig also oversees PON Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), software solutions, network management platforms, and security technologies.

With over 25 years at CommScope and ARRIS, Craig has held diverse leadership roles across R&D, Sales and Systems Engineering, Product and Market Management, and Technology Strategy. His career has been defined by a deep commitment to partnering with service providers to develop innovative solutions that support their evolving network needs

Craig’s professional journey has taken him from Atlanta to Amsterdam before settling in the Chicago area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University, where he graduated at the top of his class. He has also completed executive development programs at the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program at Dartmouth and the GM Accelerate Program at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
