Matt Petersen serves as GVP of Technology Strategy and Innovation Wireline. Matt is responsible for architecture, standards and strategy of the wireline network. Over the last 19 years at Charter, Matt has been one of the key contributing individuals for the development of the National Backbone, DOCSIS technologies, Commercial Solutions, and New Product offerings.

Prior to Joining Charter, Matt has held numerous positions at Adelphia, Patriot Media and Comcast where he made significant contributions to the engineering and deployments of DOCSIS technologies and regional transport networks.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from the University of Buffalo. He is a graduated from SCTE Tuck Executive Leadership Program. In 2021 Matt was awarded by Cablefax Engineer of the year for his work on DOCSIS 4.0, Distributed Access Architectures and Generic Access Platform Enclosure (SCTE 273).
