Profile

Vik Saxena is the Vice President of Network Transformation at Charter Communications, where he leads the integration of advanced networking, cloud, and software technologies to build high-performance, scalable, and resilient networks. His team is also developing streaming telemetry, AI and ML-driven analytics, and fully automated workflows with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable adaptive, self-optimizing infrastructure that dynamically adjusts to demand, detects, and resolves faults in real time, and enhances operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Charter, Vik held leadership roles at Nokia, Nielsen Mobile, and Comcast, where he made significant contributions to next-generation networking, cloud transformation, and service delivery innovations. At Comcast, Vik played a leading role in the architecture and deployment of the national backbone and regional IP network for the largest internet service provider (ISP) in the U.S., ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience at massive scale. At Nokia, he spearheaded the transition of critical network functions – including 5G, Wi-Fi, and edge networking – to cloud-native architectures. Additionally, he helped advance Network as a Service (NaaS) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) in applications such as enterprise private 5G and SD-WAN, enabling greater agility, automation, and scalability across enterprise and service provider networks.

Vik holds a Bachelor’s and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as an MBA from the Wharton School.
