Jen English is editorial director for TechTarget's AI & Emerging Tech group, where she leads site strategy on topics such as generative and agentic AI, governance and ethics in AI, quantum computing and AI business strategies.

She started her career focused on software-defined networking, and her coverage gradually expanded to include the broader networking industry, following the development of technologies such as software-defined WAN, secure access service edge, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G. She eventually oversaw multiple sites, including SearchNetworking, SearchCloudComputing, SearchITOperations and Network Computing. This deep understanding of IT infrastructure and management gives her a nuanced perspective in her current role, where she focuses on AI technologies and the foundational systems that support them.

Jen is a 2025 Azbee award winner for her online web feature, "The push to make network engineering cool again." She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in English and minors in both business administration and music.
