Camille Osborne serves as the Director of Ecosystem and Standards Engagement for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) within the U.S. Department of Commerce. In 2017, the FirstNet Authority and AT&T formed a multi-billion-dollar partnership to build, deploy, and maintain the nation’s public safety broadband network. FirstNet is one of the largest public-private partnerships in U.S. history. Camille works closely with industry, standards bodies, government agencies, and first responders to drive innovation and lead ecosystem development efforts across the FirstNet ecosystem.
Prior to this role, Camille spent more than 15 years working on a variety of initiatives in and around government, focused on bringing nascent ideas and technologies to the broader public for the greater good. She led legislative and operations efforts for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration, helping to create and save jobs and generate private investment across the United States. She also managed public relations and congressional affairs for the first nonprofit focused on international drinking water and sanitation efforts and served as the industry spokesperson and head of public affairs for an association representing satellite television, radio, and content providers.
Additionally, Camille served as a crisis management consultant for several high-profile clients, as well as Press Secretary and Legislative Aide to U.S. Senator Zell Miller of Georgia.
