Egil Gronstad is the Senior Director of Emerging Technology and Innovations for T-Mobile USA. In this role, Egil is driving Advanced Technology Evaluations and Development and leading Technology Innovation activities and initiatives. His focus is primarily on 5G evolution, 6G development, RAN Architecture (including AI-RAN), NTN and innovative technologies that can help grow the business. He also leads spectrum evaluations and strategies and guiding standards activities to secure long-term alignment between business objectives, standards, spectrum, technologies, innovations and ecosystem.

Egil has 30+ years of experience in product marketing, product development and technology management in the mobile wireless industry. Prior to joining T-Mobile, he has held Technology, Marketing and Strategy roles as Vice President for Cricket Wireless, Clearwire and Ericsson. Egil has a proven track record in predicting, defining, developing and introducing new technologies for the wireless telecommunications market, and has been a featured speaker at various industry conferences.

Egil is a graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara, where he received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
