Prakash Sankaranaraynan is a senior technology and business executive with more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications, product strategy, and digital infrastructure. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Partnerships at Reliance Jio Infocomm, where he has been a key contributor since the company's inception.
As a member of Jio's founding team, Mr. Sankaranaraynan played an instrumental role in translating Reliance Jio's founding vision into operational reality — helping build from the ground up what has grown into one of India's most significant digital infrastructure platforms. Over the course of more than fifteen years, he has been a key contributor to Jio's evolution from a greenfield initiative into a leading provider of 5G, fiber, and AI-enabled digital services serving consumer, enterprise, and government customers across India.
In his current role, Mr. Sankaranaraynan is responsible for the strategic development of Jio's product portfolio and partnership ecosystem. His work is focused on advancing next-generation AI-native infrastructure — integrating 5G networks, edge computing, secure cloud platforms, and AI-native devices into a unified, self-optimizing system capable of supporting advanced AI services, including Physical AI applications. He is also an instrumental part of Jio's efforts to extend its technology capabilities and the broader "Jio Effect" — the portfolio of platforms, products, and capabilities — to markets worldwide.
Prior to joining Reliance Jio in 2011, Mr. Sankaranaraynan held a series of progressive product and technology development leadership roles at Sprint Nextel over nearly twelve years, developing broad expertise in telecommunications strategy, emerging technology evaluation, P&L management, and business model development. He is a trusted advisor to C-level executives and holds 12 patents across his career.
Mr. Sankaranaraynan holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Rockhurst University and an MS in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso.
