Robert Stacey is the chair of IEEE 802.11, the working group that produces the technical standard for Wi-Fi. Robert has been an active participant in the standardization effort and various industry consortia starting with the development of the 802.11n amendment around 2002. For most of that time Robert has been employed by Intel and has worked internally on their Wi-Fi product
