Russell A. (Rusty) Moore was named general manager and chief operating officer in 2012 after helping guide BBT (Big Bend Telephone) through two decades of growth, technological and policy evolution.

Rusty currently serves on the Texas Telephone Association (TTA) Board of Directors and was its previous Chairman. Rusty also serves as Treasurer on the USTelecom Board of Directors and was its previous Chairman. Additionally, Rusty serves on the advisory committee for both the Dallas Federal Reserve Digital Inclusion Initiative and the Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College of Business.

Rusty previously served on the NTCA Industry committee and was also elected to serve two terms on the NTCA Board of Directors representing the Southwest Region commercial companies. Moore also completed the inaugural Telecom Executives course sponsored by the United States Telecom Association and Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business Program.

Rusty is a native of Alpine, where he currently resides with his wife Ginger and received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Sul Ross State University in May 1990.
