Tzeitel Looper-Buchanan is the Director of Public Sector Programs and Community Partnerships at Lumen.

Tzeitel brings more than 25 years of telecommunications experience to her role, where she is advancing Lumen’s mission to digitally connect people, data, and applications quickly and securely. Through the lens of digital inclusion, Tzeitel cultivates relationships with partners to ensure that all communities have network access, training, and resources in place to participate in the world’s AI-enabled economy.

With a passion for people, advocacy and leadership, Tzeitel serves as Global Chair of Lumen’s Voice of Many Feathers (VoMF) Employee Resource Group, and serves as an ally for other groups. In 2023, Tzeitel received Lumen’s inaugural Leadership Ally award for her work in promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace that emphasized a culture of allyship companywide. 

Tzeitel’s tenure at Lumen has spanned a variety of roles, including project management, team leadership, customer service, operations supervision, contract negotiation, relationship building and problem resolution. Prior to joining Lumen, she held several leadership roles at Windstream Communications and MCI WorldCom.

Tzeitel, a Native American of the Cherokee Tribe, holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's degree from Saint Leo University. Residing in Oklahoma, she serves on various community boards. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys hiking, camping, and gardening.
