Andisa LibaHR Lead at Cisco Africa
Andi is the HR Lead for Cisco Sub-Saharan, East and West Africa as well as an HR strategic partner to the Cisco Sub Saharan Leadership Team. Andi brings an ability to strengthen the link between people and strategy as well as manage, motivate and retain people resources.
Andi spent a few years at Sony Music Entertainment where she was a strategic HR Partner to the executive team. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, compensation, performance management, recruiting, compliance reporting, HRIS implementations, HR workflow development, training and development, and benefits administration. Andi has experience in various industries including professional services, technology, corporate investment banking and insurance.
Prior to joining the Sony team, Andi supported fast growth companies by linking people strategies to business strategies. Andi also spent some time as the Head of Operations for Simanye Group, a cluster of entities dedicated to helping businesses, communities and the public sector find effective and sustainable solutions for transformation and economic development in SA, Africa and beyond.
Prior to that Andi headed up the talent acquisition for a tech start up, Webfluential where she designed and created talent management programs that included career pathing and succession planning as well as being a leadership coach to the senior managers. Prior to this Andi spend several years at Barclays Capital in the talent management space as a people change manager and spearheading the first Barclays Capital Africa Academy.
Andisa serves as a guest lecture at Wits Arts School quarterly speaking to 4th year students, covering a multitude of topics ranging from “How learning will be impacted by the 4th Industrial Revolution” to “Monitoring and evaluating employee performance”, “Career development in the 21st Century” to name but a few.
Andisa also acts as a mentor for iExperience (a global tech summer program) with graduates predominantly from the US, South Africa and Latin America.
Andi is a co-founder of Women’s Tech Connection, an ICT movement designed to give access to opportunities and learning repositories to women in the technology sector.
Andisa has also been a keynote speaker at the Work 2.0 Conference, Africa’s Definitive work, people and office tech expo speaking on Worker Loyalty and Longevity and a regular speaker at the HR Leader’s Summit as well as a speaker at the HR Director’s conference in 2020.
Andisa is currently one of the speakers at this years Standard Bank Top Women Global Virtual Summit taking place in October 2020 as well as a speaker at the Institute of People Management Convention where she’ll be speaking on Talent-Reimagined : An African Perspective.
Andi currently serves on the Knowledge Resources HR Advisory Board supporting HR Director’s across Africa.
Andi holds a PR and Journalism diploma from Varsity College and Port Elizabeth Technikon respectively. She’s currently completing her Business Administration Degree through Regenesys Business School.
In her spare time Andisa is an avid mountaineer who has summited Kilimanjaro and will be attempting all Seven Highest peaks of the World to raise funds and awareness for Caring for Girls, an NGO that provides sanitary towels to young girls in disadvantaged areas around South Africa. Andi is currently training for an expedition to Base Camp Everest in April 2020 (currently on hold due to Covid19).
