Hosea is a transformational Information Security Leader with over fifteen (15) years’ experience in Technology Risk and Information Security Management covering information risk management, security strategy, cyber resilience, security architecture, governance, risk assessments, audits and penetration testing, security engineering, design and implementation of controls for Financial Systems (including Payments, Mobile Financial Services, Digital Banking and ecommerce), infrastructure security and security incident management. He is currently the Regional Information Security Officer Standard Bank Group (the largest Financial Services Institution on the African Continent) supporting the countries Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, and Tanzania where he is responsible for shaping and driving the Information Security Strategy to protect bank’s digital infrastructure and customer assets as well as the business strategy. He has previously worked with Stanbic Bank Uganda, Kenya, and Standard Bank Jersey (UK) in the Information and Cyber Security space, Housing Finance Bank Uganda as a Senior Manager IT Networks and Information Security and the professional services firm, Ernst & Young (EY) as a Systems Security Analyst. Hosea is passionate about the role of Information Security in enabling workforce productivity, enhancing customer experience, driving Digital Transformation, and accelerating the adoption of Digital Financial Services.
